To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the EGNE, a new logo was
designed by Leni Fuhrman. Seeking to capture the spirit of the
Guild, she researched chemical and alchemical signs and
symbols, Byzantine monograms, house marks (which evolved into
trademarks and marks of craftsmen), symbols for the four
elements, and medieval guild marks. The components of the new
logo represent the enameling fork, fire, the Guild initials
and the dot, the origin of all signs.
We
were so excited about our new logo, that we had a model cast
in fine silver, ready for your enameling. Below are photos of
the castings. One has the logo indented
(A) and the other has it raised (B). The possibilities are
limitless. You can create one, of course, into a stud or pin -
- or perhaps into
a ring, or earrings, or adjust the shape into something other
than an oval. Let your imagination run wild. When you have
finished your piece, send a photo or jpg. to the webmaster and
it will be displayed on this page.
Both
models are approximately 1" long by 5/8" wide.
Each
casting can be purchased for $8.00 with a shipping and
handling charge of $2.00. You may order
as many as you wish for the same $2.00 charge.
