The Enamel Guild / North East will be holding its 23rd Annual Conference at the Westchester Center for the Arts in White Plains, NY.  The one-day conference will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2014. We are excited to be partnering with Westchester Center for the Arts. The facilities there are wonderful and allow us to offer numerous workshops to run concurrently. Due to scheduling restrictions all workshops will be held pre-conference.

This year we will have presentations by Helen Elliott, Melissa Cameron and Chris Darway. Presentations will by followed by demonstrations and we’ll end the conference with a cocktail hour during which our annual buy, sell & trade will take place.

Helen Elliott and Melissa Cameron will each be teaching two 2-day workshops. Chris Darway will be teaching a single 2-day workshop. In addition, we will have a 1-day workshop lead by Katharine Wood.

 Some conference highlights are:

  • Demonstrations by workshop leaders and introduction of various new metalsmithing products and techniques

  • A look at work of scholarship recipients and their perspectives and practices

After the conference catch up with old friends at the raffle drawing and buy & sell hour.

Information regarding the group dinner will be announced as details are finalized.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for the conference and workshops. Please apply to Sandra Kravitz by email at sandralan@verizon.net. Scholarships are provided by the Marilyn Druin Scholarship Fund.

Westchester Community College Arts Center is easily accessible via MetroNorth from NYC (White Plains Station)

This year The Cambria Suites in downtown White Plains, has agreed to reserve rooms for us. The Cambria Suites is located less than 1.5 miles from the Westchester Arts Center.

Standard room: $129 / double occupancy.

Each additional guest is an additional $20.00 per night*.
*This rate will be available until February 17, 2015.
