Please join us for a Private Studio Visit with EGNE Board Member : Leni Fuhrman on Sunday, February 23, 2020 : 12 pm -2 pm at her Greenwich Village Studio.
EGNE is pleased to offer this member-only intimate gathering to get a closer look at Leni Fuhrman’s enamels.
Leni Fuhrman has exhibited and published widely in her 20+ years of enameling. In this studio visit, Leni will show her vast body of work including jewelry, bowls, and sculptures while discussing her inspirations and techniques. Originally trained as a fine art painter/printmaker, she found the convergence of these mediums in enameling. She brings her early fascination of medical imagery born from reading her father’s medical magazines, finding beauty and intrigue in what is “hidden inside”. You can see this inspiration in her colorful imagery of viruses and bacteria, cross sections of plants, and bone forms.
As an added perk members will be invited to share a piece of their recent work. This is the time for you to participate! What are you making and why? Attendees are encouraged to wear or bring one recent piece of theirs to share and present with the group.
