Fall Workshop at Newark Museum

Plique-à-jour is one of the most challenging but also most rewarding of enameling techniques. This class focuses on the saw-pierced method to create a silver framework, whose openings will be enameled to create a stained glass effect.
The workshop will cover the making of the framework, the application of the enamel, special procedures for successful firing, and methods for finishing the work. Students will complete a pendant or pair of earrings. Beginners will gain an introduction to an exciting medium, and more experienced students will deepen their understanding.
Space for these workshops is very limited so, register today to be assured that you don’t miss the opportunity.
